MIA Fair, conceived in 2011 from an idea of Fabio Castelli, is based on a unique element of innovation that distinguishes MIA Fair from traditional Italian and international art fairs scene: one stand for each artist and each artist having his/her own catalogue. Composed of solo show, MIA Fair offered a unique approach to presenting a solo exhibition at each booth and location detail.
The curatorial approach of each booth gives visitors the opportunity to concentrate on the art projects for a better comprehension.
MIA Fair was created with the aim of distinguishing from the traditional scheme of the international fairs by highlighting the transverse role that photography has come to play between the languages of expression of the contemporary art system.
The meeting will be at MIA with a reflection: “where does the art begin and when does the report finish?”
This is the best fair of photography existing in Italy. It takes place at Superstudio Più, Via Tortona, 27 from the 23rd to the 25th of May. The meeting point will be in front of the fair next 23rd of May at 2.30 p.m. for the distribution of VIP cards and for a guided three-hour tour together with me, your President, and hopefully, with Michela Moro Journo, to meet gallerists and artists.
