The Israel Museum is the largest cultural institution in the State of Israel and is ranked among the world's leading art and archaeology museums. Founded in 1965, the Museum houses encyclopedic collections, including works from prehistory to the present day, distributed across the departments of Archaeology, Fine Arts, and Jewish Art and Life. It presents the world's largest collection of biblical and Holy Land archaeology. In just forty-five years, thanks to a tradition of donations and the generous support of its network of patrons worldwide, the Museum has built a far-reaching collection of nearly 500,000 objects, representing the full spectrum of global material culture.

Association of Friends of Italian Contemporary Art

Founded in 2003 by its President, Gemma De Angelis Testa, it currently has approximately one hundred members, including some of the most significant names in Italian collecting. The Association was established with the goal of supporting Italian art and artists and promoting the establishment of a public museum of contemporary art in Milan, through ongoing dialogue with the city's institutions. ACACIA's mission is to highlight the role of the active collector, taking responsibility for public awareness and working actively to promote, preserve, and protect contemporary art. In recent years, the Association has been working not only to establish a suitable "container" for contemporary Italian art in Milan, but also to provide it with a collection supported by loans and donations. Since its inception, ACACIA has actively collaborated with various players on the national and international cultural scene, developing a rich program of cultural activities for the public. The Association proposes and organizes cultural events such as workshops and conferences, including the successful series of meetings on contemporary art held at the PAC in 2004, 2005, and the latest series in 2009, featuring the participation of important international critics and curators.
