ISRAEL MUSEUM OF JERUSALEM
Knowing the past, Acting in the present, Building the future
Welcome to the AIMIG Community – Italian Friends of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem
AIMIG is a cultural association dedicated to the promotion and support of one of the world’s
most important museum institutions, the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
Founded with the aim of building and strengthening a cultural bridge between Italy and Israel, AIMIG promotes and disseminates knowledge of the Museum’s extraordinary collections, as well as its exhibition, research, and educational activities, fostering dialogue between cultures, arts, and fields of knowledge.
The Israel Museum houses over 500,000 artefacts, ranging from ancient, modern, and contemporary art to archaeology, from Jewish art and life to the renowned Dead Sea Scrolls of Qumran,
one of the most significant testimonies of Jewish history and culture.
Most of these works and artefacts originate from Jewish communities around the world,
making the Museum a unique place of memory, identity, and shared cultural heritage.
