A visit to the exhibition that Palazzo Reale dedicates to the genius of Leonardo da Vinci. Two hundred of his works, drawn from collections around the world, trace the output of the artist from his early years onward. Born in 1452 and deceased in 1519, this absolute genius is honored with the largest exhibition ever held in Italy in his name.
Curated by Pietro Marani and Maria Teresa Fiorio, the exhibition unfolds across twelve sections, offering a wide-ranging view of Leonardo’s work: drawings, sculpture, machines, manuscripts, and paintings. Among the highlights are the Madonna Dreyfus from the National Gallery of Art in Washington and La Belle Ferronnière from the Louvre Museum.
A fitting event designed to celebrate and captivate visitors during Expo.
We met on Thursday, May 14, at 7:00 pm in front of the entrance of Palazzo Reale in Piazza Duomo and, with a dedicated guide, visited the exhibition in all its aspects.
The evening concluded with dinner at the restaurant Da Giacomo all’Arengario, at tables overlooking Piazza Duomo—excellent food for a truly magical moment of togetherness.
