On May 23, in the galleries of Sotheby’s at Palazzo Serbelloni, the Gala Dinner of the Israel Museum took place. The event was organized by the Associazione degli Amici Italiani dell’Israel Museum (AIMIG) in honor of Arturo Schwarz, with an introduction by Dr. Claudia Dwek, Chairman of Contemporary Art Europe at Sotheby’s.

More than 120 guests attended the evening, including the Director of the Museum, Professor Ido Bruno, and numerous artists who generously donated their works to the charity auction held during the event. The auction—conducted by Dr. Claudia Dwek—also featured hotel stays in Venice and Bologna, dinners at fashionable restaurants, and a case of fine wines.
In addition to the guest of honor, Arturo Schwarz, and his wife Linda, attendees included Maestro Emilio Isgrò, journalist Ferruccio de Bortoli, and Dr. Ana Luiza Massot Thompson-Flores, Director for Europe of the UNESCO Sciences and Culture Sector, along with leading figures from the worlds of art, finance, and entrepreneurship.
Representing the scholarship recipients who have taken part in programs at the Israel Museum—initiatives promoted by Associazione degli Amici Italiani dell’Israel Museum (AIMIG) since 2014—Ms. Camilla Balbi was present and shared her personal experience at the Museum.
The dinner was prepared by Ristorante Fourghetti, which served a menu conceived by Michelin-starred chef Bruno Barbieri.
