By presenting the image of the Israeli museum in Italy, the Italian Friends of the Israel Museum of Jerusalem (AIMIG) offered this important theatrical production, helping to further spread awareness and understanding of the issues facing the State of Israel and its institutional figures.
We would like to thank the Teatro Franco Parenti for its availability. On November 19, 2012, it gave us the opportunity to present for the first time in Milan the masterpiece by William Gibson, “Golda’s Balcony”, starring Paola Gassman in the role of Golda Meir, and directed by Maria Rosaria Omaggio.
Historical facts and precise chronicles intertwine with the behind-the-scenes personal life of Golda Meir, Prime Minister of Israel from March 17, 1969, to June 3, 1974. The result is a powerful theatrical production that reaches deeply into the hearts and souls of its audience.
AIMIG was able to offer this exceptional historical narrative to both members and non-members alike, and thanks to your donations, it contributed to the new renovation projects of the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
